Let me just say, that when I saw this right after it was posted, I was fucking pissed. I am a recovering self-injury addict. I deal with a lot of people who don’t fully understand, or just flat out think I’m unintelligent due to this, and it’s been difficult to try to convince people that I am okay. I hardly ever am allowed to even be alone due to people who care about me, but are paranoid. When I saw this, I nearly chunked my laptop. I can’t even properly put into words how disgustingly ignorant this person is. Self-injury should not ever be used as a character trait. She’s lucky her image is so shitty it isn’t triggering. Seriously about to go shove my laptop in a blender now. >_>

You know Obama’s doing a great job when the conservative candidates throw the issues that SHOULD be being debated (the economy, jobs) out the window and bring in attempts at the religious vote. Abortion shouldn’t be debated. Contraception shouldn’t be debated. It should just be for those who need access to it. Women shouldn’t be stripped of their right to choose because other people say it contradicts what they think is right. It’s become cliché to say so, but this is a democracy, not a theocracy. This country was founded on freedom of religion, not freedom to shove the most powerful beliefs down everyone’s throats. It’s an absolute shame, and I just don’t understand how there are still people who don’t get this concept. I just don’t understand.
